Charley Grimsley Worst Campaign Commercial of 2010

May 24th, 2010 No comments

Me like most people have grown tired of the campaign commercial’s this year.  But one ad has really caught my interest.  Charley Grimsley for Alabama State Treasurer. It actually merited me going on YouTube to find it.  It is overwhelming silly and the ending just made me laugh.  I know he wanted to appear tough in the last clip of the Video but it just didn’t work.  The silly grin with the crossed arms look just doesn’t work for Mr. Grimsley.

Mr. Grimsley,  You just may have my vote so I can see what silly ad you will come up with next…  Call it the entertainment factor.

Twittering the Debate

Tonight is the Final Debate in the 2008 presidential debate series between Barack Obama and John McCain.  Tonight I will be Twittering the Debate and prepping post about the coming weeks.

I doubt there will be many fireworks in tonight’s debate.  Though it would be in John McCain’s interest to make something happen as this will be his last chance to kick start his final chance for election victory.  Stay up-to-date on my take on the debate with me on twitter, http://twitter.com/estesce.

The debate starts at 9PM ET / 6PM PT on just about every news network.  I like watching the CNN broadcast of the debate with the annoying Ohio Voters opinion line at the bottom.  I don’t believe the opinion line is accurate but it does show some insight into responses by the candidate.

So join me for the Presidential Debate and kickoff for the race to the end.

Palin Biden Debate Parody

October 6th, 2008 1 comment

Have you seen the Joe Biden and Sarah Palin Saturday Night Live parody?

Thanks to my new Twitter Friend SEOAly I saw the SNL Parody Live.  Alysson is also the owner/operator of Jacksonville, FL based Search Engine Optimization company SEOaly.com.  Because so much of politics is serious business it is nice to have a comic relief segment.  So if you haven’t seen the parody check it out.  If you haven’t seen the debate this is almost everything you need to know.

John McCain Gives up in Michigan

October 3rd, 2008 No comments

John McCain’s campaign announced yesterday that it was giving up its campaign in Michigan.  Michigan has been touted as a battleground state for republicans for sometime.  MI hasn’t voted to elect a republican presidential candidate since 1988 when it choose George HW Bush.

It seems that McCain camp is cutting its loses and regrouping one more time in its last 30 days before the election.  The McCain Palin election team is going dispurse it’s resources to tougher races in Wyoming, Colorado, and Florida.  Thoose three states are “must win states” for him to have a chance in winning what I begining to see as an unlikely bid for president.  John McCain’s Campaign also announced that they were going to cut all media advertisments, mail campaigns, and voter contact stratgey.

Is this an indication that he will likely be conceeding defeate on November 4th?  Possibly, but I myself never viewed Michigan as a true battleground state.  In a state that is riddled with job layoffs and hard hit by the failing economy.  This was never McCain territory because of thousands of layoffs and exporting of jobs during the now lame duck Bush Administration.  McCain’s close ties with the sitting adminstration will likely be the biggest reason for defeat nationwide as I belive the majority of American’s are looking for change.  Change is a message the McCain camp has ineffectively conveyed.

Conceding defeat in Michigan a month early is an indication that the McCain Palin ticket is in serious trouble and they are waking up.  The election is far from over.  It is still anyone’s ball game.  Barack Obama isn’t getting a free ticket to the White House.  It is getting easier…

Stay tuned for more political commentary as the political races are just now heating up.
